NPFL filled with gifted players, says Ikorodu City boss Ali Kandil

Ikorodu City head coach, Ali Kandil, has described the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as a tough competition filled with technically gifted players.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference held at the Taiwo Awoniyi Media Centre, Kandil acknowledged the strength of the league and praised the resilience of his team.

He noted that Ikorodu City remain a relatively young side but are determined to finish strong in the ongoing NPFL campaign.

Kwara United will host the ‘Oga Boys’ on Sunday at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin, with kick-off set for 4:00 p.m.

Kandil admitted that the match would be a stern test for his team but expressed confidence in their ability to compete.

“NPFL is a tough league with fantastic technical players,” he said. “We have a very young squad, and realistically, we just want to maintain good form and finish strong this season.”

The coach also assured fans that his side is gradually building a team capable of challenging the best in the league.

He emphasized that with consistent effort and discipline, Ikorodu City will continue to improve and establish themselves as a force in Nigerian football.
