Timber, Gyökeres star in Arsenal rout as Spurs humble Man City

Arsenal continued their bright start to the season with a commanding 5-0 victory over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium.
Fresh from last weekend’s away win at Manchester United, the Gunners were impressive again in their first home outing, a result that shot them to the top of the Premier League table.
Jurriën Timber opened the scoring in the 34th minute, before Bukayo Saka doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time.
Victor Gyökeres made it 3-0 just three minutes into the second half, while Timber struck again to extend the lead to 4-0.
Gyökeres then completed the rout deep into stoppage time with his second goal of the night, sealing a comprehensive five-goal triumph for Mikel Arteta’s men.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur stunned Manchester City with a 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium to maintain their perfect start to the campaign.
Brennan Johnson and João Palhinha struck just before the break to hand Spurs the crucial points.
It was also a perfect start for new manager Thomas Frank, who has now overseen two straight league wins in charge of the North London side.
