NSCDC inspector killed in Edo buried in Ondo

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps officer, Inspector Oluwatosin Sunday, who was killed during an operation in Okpella, Edo State, has been buried in his hometown, Isua Akoko, Ondo State.
Sunday’s remains were laid to rest on Tuesday in the presence of relatives, friends and officers of the corps.
During the funeral, the Ondo State Commandant of the NSCDC, Oluyemi Ibiloye, who represented the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, commiserated with the family of the deceased.

He assured that those responsible for the officer’s death would be apprehended and prosecuted.
“For fighting and paying the supreme price at Okpella, your memories shall be honoured by us living ours with purpose, pride, and gratitude. “Adieu, IC Oluwatosin Sunday,” Ibiloye was quoted as saying.
Colleagues described the late officer as dutiful and courageous in the discharge of his responsibilities.
