OAU MBA student’s death: Trial of Adedoyin, others begin Thursday

The trial of the owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, Dr. Rahmon Adedoyin and six other staff alleged to have been involved in the mysterious death of a Master student of Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Ile-Ife, Timothy Adegoke, begins on Thursday at Osun State High Court, Osogbo.

It was gathered that Adedoyin and other suspects have arrived Osogbo, ahead of the commencement of their trial.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Osun Command, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed that the trial of the suspects will commence on Thursday.

Adedoyin was accused of unlawful interference with the corpse of Adegoke, while Adedeji Adesola, Magdalena Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwale Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem and Adebayo Kunle were arraigned on seven-count of conspiracy, attempted murder, murder, altering of receipt among others at the Federal High Court, Abuja, before the case was struck out on February 7th 2022.

Counsel to the deceased’s family, Femi Falana, had demanded that the matter should not be tried in Abuja, but should be transferred to Osun State where the offence was committed.
