Ogun State House of Assembly on Tuesday suspended a former deputy speaker of the House, Dare Kadiri and another lawmaker, Solomon Osho.
The suspension was announced by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olukunle Oluomo at plenary:
Kadiri, who is representing Ijebu-North and Osho of Remo North were suspended until further notice from the activities of the Assembly.
They are also to appear before the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges.
It would be recalled that the former deputy speaker was arrested by the Ogun State police command for an alleged assault during the revalidation exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
He was arrested after he allegedly led suspected hoodlums to invade the residence of the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, in Oru-Ijebu, Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state.
