Ogun governor confirms Jolaosho as new Oniwasinmi of Wasinmi

The governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has confirmed the nomination of Suffian Jolaosho as new Oniwasinmi of Wasinmi in Ewekoro local government.

Abiodun gave the approval to the choice of Jolaosho on Monday after his nomination by the Wasinmi Kingmakers.

Jolaosho emerged as second Oniwasinmi of Wasinmi after the demise of late Oba Emmanuel Babatunde Osuntogun on December 13th, 2021.

Osuntogun reigned for 18 years on the throne as the pioneer Oba of on Wasinmi of Wasinmi land.

On December 12, 2022, Jolaosho emerged in an election that was conducted by local government officials and Wasinmi Kingmakers in the Ewekoro Council secretariat, Itori.

He defeated other contestants including; Barr. Sola Enitan, Mr Taiwo, Baale Kemta Akun.

In his response to the confirmation of his nomination, Jolasho returned all thanks, glory, honour and adoration to the God Almighty for sparing his life to witness the glorious day of his life.

He thanked the government, Wasinmi Kingmakers, Chiefs and the entire Wasinmi Community for the rare privilege bestowed to him as second Oniwasinmi of Wasinmi land.

He promised to continue to be the good, nice, accommodating and God fearing man which he is largely known for.

Jolaosho vowed to use all his connections to develop Wasinmi and his environs.

He commended the residents of Wasinmi for being peaceful, accommodating and enterprising people who have positive mindsets for growth and development.

The new Monarch called on all and sundry to continue to be good ambassadors of the community.
