Ogun So-Safe nabs Illicit drug dealers with 22 bags of marijuana

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has apprehended suspected illicit drug dealers with 22 bags of Marijuana.

The agency made this known in a press release issued by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Commander Moruf Yusuf on Monday.

Quoting the state Commander, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, in the statement, Yusuf said that at about 0230hrs on 11th. December, 2023, the Oke Ogun Area Command officers of the Corps while on routine patrol at Abule Sikiru along Igbo-Ora road in Abeokuta North Local Government Area, spotted 4 Bajaj motorbikes with 3 of the motorbikes carrying 22 sacks of Marijuana and two other people on the 4th Motorbike leading the team and fully armed with varieties of local charms.

He noted that 3 suspects allegedly escaped while 2 apprehended with the exhibits and the four motorbikes used to perpetrate the crime.

Yusuf also said that the 2 apprehended culprits refused to disclose their identity.

” Two of the motorbikes are marked ABG 041 DY and MEK 071 QC while the rest 2 are not registered.

“The 2 apprehended suspects, exhibit (22 sacks of Marijuana) and 4 motorbikes were handed over to the NDLEA, State Headquarter Team at Alamutu in Abeokuta North Local Government Area for further investigation and likely prosecution”, said Yusuf.
