Ojelabi, Oladejo secure fresh mandate as Lagos APC Leaders applaud transparent state congress

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has re-elected Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi as State Chairman for another term, following a successful and well-attended State Party Congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday.
Also returned to office were Hon. Seye Oladejo (Publicity Secretary), Comrade Ayodele Adewale (Organising Secretary), and Banjo Adedoyin (Financial Secretary), among others.

The congress attracted party faithful, delegates, stakeholders and leaders from across the state’s 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas, reaffirming members’ confidence in Ojelabi’s leadership and strategic direction.

Ojelabi’s re-election is widely regarded as an endorsement of his stewardship and efforts at fostering party cohesion, as well as his role in consolidating the APC’s dominance in Lagos politics. Under his leadership, the party has maintained structural stability, strengthened grassroots mobilisation, and sustained electoral victories in the state.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside other party leaders, commended the peaceful and transparent conduct of the congress, describing it as a reflection of internal democracy and unity within the Lagos APC.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized party unity, discipline, and collective responsibility, urging members to remain committed to the ideals and progressive vision that continue to shape governance in Lagos State.
He expressed optimism that the renewed mandate would further reposition the party ahead of future political engagements.

In his acceptance speech, Ojelabi thanked delegates and party leaders for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to deepen inclusiveness, intensify reconciliation efforts, and strengthen the party’s structure from the ward to the state level.
The congress ended with a strong show of solidarity among members, reinforcing the Lagos APC’s resolve to remain a formidable political force in the state and beyond.
