Okoye ruled out of Super Eagles’ Jordan clash after training injury

Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will miss Nigeria’s upcoming friendly against Jordan due to injury.
According to the Super Eagles media team, Okoye sustained a thigh knock during training on Sunday, ruling him out of the encounter.
The former Watford shot-stopper was in goal during Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Iran’s Team Melli last Friday, delivering a solid performance.
The 26-year-old is expected to return to his Italian club, Udinese, to undergo further assessment and treatment.
In his absence, Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is likely to step in as first choice, while Adebayo Adeleye provides additional cover.
The Super Eagles will face Jordan’s Al-Nashama in Antalya, Turkey, on Tuesday, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Nigeria time.
