Olomu of Omu-Aran hails stakeholders as Ifelodun tops Kwara South U-15 Table Tennis

The Olomu of Omu-Aran, His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and leading sports stakeholders for their contributions to youth and sports development.
The monarch spoke as Ifelodun Local Government Area emerged as overall champions of the maiden Kwara South U-15 Table Tennis Championship held in Omu-Aran.
Speaking during the closing ceremony of the two-day event held on November 27 and 28, Oba Adeoti described Governor AbdulRazaq as a visionary leader whose investments in sports are opening new opportunities for young people across the state.

He also lauded the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, for providing effective leadership that has strengthened grassroots sports activities.
He applauded the sponsor of the championship, Hon. Abdulraheem Olawuyi Tunji Ajuloopin, and Mrs Yemisi Monisola Makanjuola, the Permanent Member representing Kwara South on the Sports Commission and convener of the tournament, for their commitment to developing young talents in the zone.
The competition featured participants from the six Local Government Areas of Kwara South. Aishat Akeem of Ifelodun won the female category, while Zakariyau Habeeb won the male title.
In her remarks, Mrs Makanjuola expressed appreciation to Governor AbdulRazaq for his support and thanked Hon. Ajuloopin for sponsoring the event.
The successful hosting of the maiden edition signals a new dawn for grassroots sports in Kwara South, with the championship expected to become an annual platform for identifying and nurturing young talents.
