Olopade mourns Taekwondo Federation chief Saidu

The Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Honourable Bukola Olopade, has expressed shock over the sudden passing of the President of the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, Abdullahi Saidu.

Olopade described Saidu’s death as a significant loss, not only to the Taekwondo community but to the entire sports sector.

“Alhaji Saidu was an astute sports administrator and a passionate sportsman who contributed immensely to the growth of Taekwondo in the country,” he stated.

“It’s a sad day for our sports, and Alhaji Abdullahi Saidu will be greatly missed by the Sports Commission. Our hearts are with his family at this difficult time,” he added.

The DG further highlighted Saidu’s exemplary leadership, noting that his dedication to advancing Taekwondo in Nigeria set a standard for sports administration.

The late Saidu passed away early Tuesday morning.
