Oluyede faults Oyebanji’s performance over alleged poor impact on Ekiti residents

The PDP governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Oluwole Oluyede, has criticised Governor Biodun Oyebanji, describing his administration as underwhelming.

Oluyede, in a statement released on Wednesday by his media aide, Gani Salau, said the government had failed to translate available resources into visible development across the state.

He also faulted the governor’s frequent engagements with President Bola Tinubu, arguing that such visits had not yielded meaningful benefits for residents.

“Governance is not a photo album, nor is leadership measured by the number of times a governor appears in pictures with the President,” he said.

“Ekiti people cannot eat photographs, and they cannot drive on photo opportunities,” Oluyede added.

The PDP flagbearer equally lamented that while some states had attracted presidential visits for project inaugurations, Ekiti lacked comparable milestones.

Oluyede further expressed concern over what he described as poor accountability, insisting that citizens deserved clarity on how public funds were being utilised.

In his piece, he also alleged that critical sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education and youth empowerment had not witnessed significant improvement under the current administration.
