Omotola rejoices as daughter Meraiah gets engaged

Veteran actress and filmmaker, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has shared videos from her daughter Meraiah’s engagement, hours after the engagement was announced.

Omotola and her daughter took to their respective Instagram pages on Saturday to share the news and stunning videos from the event. The actress expressed her excitement over the development.

“Stop Press! Have you heard? My twinnie is engaged! I guess we have a wedding to plan! Congratulations to the love birds,” she wrote.

On her Instagram Story, Omotola further expressed how unreal it felt to experience the milestone.

“They grow up so fast. We planning weddings now? Really?” she wrote.

Meraiah, also known as Mimi, had announced her engagement two days earlier in a post captioned “New chapter.”

The 26-year-old apparel product developer is one of the four children of Omotola and her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde, a pilot.

The couple, who married in 1996 and marked 30 years of marriage earlier this year, also have Princess, Matthew, popularly known as MJ or Captain E, and Michael.
