Ondo APC rallies support for Tinubu, meets ex-Ondo SSG

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has intensified its mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming general elections, seeking the support of former Secretary to the State Government, Ifedayo Abegunde, for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

The state APC Chairman, Kolawole Babatunde, led members of the State Working Committee to Abegunde’s residence in Alagbaka, Akure, to strengthen party unity and consolidate support ahead of the polls.

The development was disclosed by Babatunde in a statement posted on his verified Facebook account, saying the engagement was part of efforts to bring party stakeholders together and sustain commitment to the APC’s electoral objectives.

According to him, the party would continue to promote inclusive engagement and collective responsibility while strengthening its grassroots mobilisation across the state.

Babatunde said unity, loyalty and sustained grassroots mobilisation remained essential to achieving electoral victory, adding that the party leadership was committed to inclusive engagement and collective responsibility.

Responding, Abegunde appreciated the APC leadership for the visit and pledged his continued support for the party, its programmes and the state government.

The former SSG also reaffirmed his support for the state government’s “OUR EASE” agenda and expressed his backing for Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The meeting ended with a commitment by the stakeholders to deepen collaboration and mobilise support for the APC across Ondo State ahead of the forthcoming elections.
