Member of the House of Representatives representing Akoko South East/South West Federal Constituency, Adegboyega Adefarati, has pledged that Ondo State will deliver overwhelming votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election following his emergence as the All Progressives Congress candidate for the constituency.

The federal lawmaker made the pledge after he was received by hundreds of APC supporters and party members, who escorted him from Ose Bridge to Akungba-Akoko in a jubilant procession to celebrate his return ticket ahead of the 2027 polls.

Adefarati, while addressing the crowd, thanked his supporters for the warm reception and urged party members to put the primary election behind them in the interest of the APC’s success at the polls.

“I was not expecting this kind of reception. I sincerely appreciate everyone who came out to receive me after I secured the mandate of our great party. There is no winner or loser in the primary election; the APC is the real winner. I appeal to all members to unite and work together for victory in 2027,” he said.

The lawmaker expressed confidence that the state would once again record a strong showing for the ruling party, saying the support given to Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election would be surpassed in 2027.

“Ondo State gave President Bola Tinubu one of the highest percentages of votes in the country in 2023. I am confident we will repeat that feat in 2027 by delivering massive support for the President and all APC candidates,” Adefarati added.

He also commended the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his performance in office, describing him as a committed party leader who had continued to mobilise support for President Tinubu and strengthen the APC across the state.

Speaking at the event, former Chairman of Akoko South West Local Government, Augustine Oloruntogbe, described the reception as spontaneous, while other APC stakeholders, including Prince Ologun Adebukola, Pelemo Samuel and Felemu Olusegun, urged members to remain united, expressing confidence that Adefarati and President Tinubu would secure resounding victories in the 2027 general election.
