The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, has donated ₦50,000 each to 25 rescued schoolchildren from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The financial support was presented to the children shortly after their reunion with their parents, in what was described as a gesture aimed at supporting their recovery and encouraging their return to normal life.
The rescued pupils were among those abducted during the attack on schools in Oriire Local Government Area, an incident that attracted national attention and triggered a massive security operation involving the military and other security agencies.

Speaking during the presentation, Dare commended the courage displayed by the children throughout the traumatic experience and expressed sympathy with their families for the hardship they endured during the period of uncertainty.
He said the donation was intended to offer immediate support to the pupils and demonstrate solidarity with the victims as they begin the process of healing and rebuilding their lives.
The presidential aide also praised the efforts of the Armed Forces, security agencies, local vigilantes and all stakeholders whose coordinated operations led to the successful rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers.
Dare urged governments, corporate organisations and well-meaning Nigerians to continue supporting the victims through counselling, education and other forms of assistance to aid their full rehabilitation. He noted that helping victims recover emotionally and return to school successfully requires collective support from both public institutions and private individuals.
The emotional reunion between the rescued children and their families drew tears of joy, with parents expressing gratitude to God and the security agencies for bringing their children home safely after weeks in captivity.
