Ondo League of Imams chair, Aladesawe, laid to rest

The Chief Imam of Owo and Chairman of the Ondo State League of Imams and Alfas, Sheikh Ahmad Oladoke Aladesawe, has been buried in his hometown.
The respected cleric, who died on Monday at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, was interred on Tuesday at his residence on Okeogun Street, Otakpete, Owo, in Owo Local Government Area.
General Secretary of the Ondo State League of Imams and Alfas, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Akerele, described the deceased as a leader who lived a life of kindness and service.
He added, “People spoke well about the Chief Imam; in fact,people came from all the Southwest States. The grand Muslims of Ondo State urged people to emulate the Baba because he was a nice man.”
Until his death at the age of 91, Aladesawe also served as the General Secretary of the League of Imams and Alfas in the Southwest, Edo and Delta States.
The burial was attended by clerics, community leaders and Muslim faithfuls across the Southwest, who paid glowing tributes to the late Imam for his leadership and dedication to Islam.
