Opposition attacks won’t stop APC victory in Osun — Oyintiloye

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has said opposition attacks will not stop the party from winning the August 15 governorship election.

Speaking with journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye attributed the wave of accusations against the APC and its candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, to what he described as fear of defeat among opposition parties.

He criticised what he called the deliberate spread of falsehoods aimed at misleading voters ahead of the polls, insisting that such tactics would not influence the electorate.

According to him, the people of Osun have made up their minds to support the APC and would not be swayed by misinformation or fabricated claims.

“The opposition is jittery because of the electoral defeat that awaits them on Aug. 15, and that is why they are spreading misinformation on a daily basis. But the good news is that the people of Osun are now wiser and will not repeat the mistake they made in 2022,” he said.

Oyintiloye added that the APC has resolved its internal issues and is fully prepared for the election, noting that the party remains confident of victory.

He described Oyebamiji as a candidate of integrity and diligence, whose qualities, he said, have strengthened the party’s chances at the polls.

The APC chieftain also expressed confidence in the campaign structure led by Wole Oke, urging residents of the state to remain focused and not be misled by what he termed desperate political actors.
