Osinbajo hails Ganduje’s public service experience at book launch

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday praised Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, for his experience in governing his state.
Osinbajo in his address at a public presentation of the book written by Ganduje, “Deputising and Governance Nigeria’ in Abuja noted that few people in the country can match the Kano State Governor’s experience as two time deputy governor, Special Adviser to a Minister and ending a two-term tenure as Governor of Kano.
He said: “Few public servants, in my opinion, possess the wealth of experience that Dr. Umar Ganduje has acquired in service of the great people of Kano State, and indeed, Nigeria in general. Starting his journey in the political and public service space as far back as 1979, to serving as a two-term deputy governor, and now rounding up two terms as an executive governor, he is more than qualified to write on the topic of Deputizing and Governance in Nigeria.
“This is why I was absolutely delighted to speak as a special guest of honour at the launch of the book earlier today.
“As Vice President myself, I resonate with the content of the book in so many ways, having experienced what it means to deputize for an Executive officeholder over the past seven years. This compendium details what it means to be in service of, and as, a public servant, traversing the relationship that leaders and their deputies have been known to have. It contains a wealth of experience that is hard to find anywhere, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone with an interest in public service anywhere in the world.”
