Osun 2022: Neither Adeleke Nor Babayemi Can Defeat Oyetola- APC Boasts

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has boasted that neither of the two governorship candidates of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can defeat its candidate, Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the July 16 governorship election.

APC, in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Kunle Oyatomi, who said PDP should expect a smashing defeat in the governorship election maintained that neither Senator Ademola Adeleke nor Prince Dotun Babayemi can withstand the status of Oyetola.

He stated further that none of the factional candidate of the PDP can compete or serve as a threat to the re-election of Oyetola.

“With what we have seen so far, PDP  is not an alternative to APC; that party is in a big mess. It is dogged with crises and won’t be free from it even after July gubernatorial election,” he said.

Oyatomi explained that Osun has been a progressive reference in the country and the people are happy and ready not to allow a reversal.

He also expressed confidence that none of the PDP’s factional candidates has political value to make any serious impact in the race against the APC candidate.

Oyatomi added: “it is as certain as death that the PDP controversial primaries that produced two factional candidates have no doubt marked the beginning of the end of the opposition party, and today, we are serving notice to the PDP, as the main opposition party in the state to expect another round of disheartening defeat in the July 16 gubernatorial election.”

The party stressed that the entire citizenry of Osun have seen the difference when comparing the destabilised PDP days of hardship and pains with development driven progressive-led administration in the state, adding that it is like comparing hell fire with Paradise. 

The party therefore welcome whoever becomes the authentic or synthetic PDP governorship candidate, telling them that they both lacked capabilities and competence to handle the affairs of the state.

Oyatomi stated that APC has the best product to sell to the people of Osun and that the party has confident that Oyetola, come July 16 gubernatorial election will win freely, fairly and squarely, based on his verifiable and  progressive achievements made so far in the last 39 months of this administration.
