Osun 2026: Oyintiloye urges APC members to embrace unity

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has called on party members to unite and put aside internal differences ahead of the August 15 governorship election in the state.
He expressed confidence in the APC’s chances of winning the poll but warned that division, bitterness, reckless statements and anti-party activities could undermine its electoral prospects.
Speaking with journalists on Sunday in Osogbo, Oyintiloye urged party leaders and elders to urgently address all perceived grievances and dissatisfaction among members.
According to him, victory for the APC in the election is non-negotiable, adding that any factor capable of hindering success must be tackled decisively.
He stressed that it would be a costly mistake for the party to go into the election divided, noting that unity and a common purpose were essential for victory.
Oyintiloye added that grievances capable of prolonging the party’s stay in opposition should be addressed without delay.
He said, “The governorship election is fast approaching, and there is an urgent need for us to come together as one big family. There is no doubt that some party members may be aggrieved for one reason or another, but such grievances should be urgently addressed to further cement our impending victory. No divided house can win a battle. That is why I am appealing to all members to come together and resolve whatever differences we have. APC is cruising to victory”.
Oyintiloye also described the party’s flag bearer, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji, as a “sellable candidate” with the capacity to win the election, urging members to support him fully.
