Osun APC plans campaign committee for Tinubu’s re-election

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has announced plans to inaugurate a presidential campaign committee to coordinate efforts towards the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the January 2027 presidential election.
The state chairman of the party, Tajudeen Lawal, disclosed this at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the APC state secretariat in Osogbo, saying the party was determined to mobilise its members and supporters for the exercise.
Lawal, in a statement by the party’s director of media and information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, made available to newsmen on Tuesday, said critical stakeholders had resolved to work collectively through the proposed committee, which would be inaugurated soon.
He said the party could not afford to handle the presidential election with levity, adding that the state working committee would collaborate with Agba Osun, the party’s highest decision-making body in the state, to achieve the common objective of Tinubu’s re-election.
The APC chairman warned against the creation of parallel campaign structures, urging individuals and groups interested in Tinubu’s re-election to work with the party’s state leadership to ensure a coordinated approach.
He also cautioned members allegedly working against the party’s interests to desist from such actions, warning of divine consequences if they continued what he described as an inglorious act. Stakeholders at the meeting also called for increased commitment to Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
The stakeholders stressed the need for party members to work towards winning the National and State Houses of Assembly elections to sustain the APC’s political strength.
Those who attended the meeting included the Agba Osun leader, Shuaib Oyedokun; members of the state working committee; local government and ward party chairmen; serving and former lawmakers; National and State Assembly candidates; former political appointees; and other party stakeholders.
