Osun governorship aspirant Omisore debunks suit against APC

‎By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
‎
‎Former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress and one of the governorship aspirants of the party in Osun, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has denied reports claiming that he filed a court case against the party, describing the allegation as false, misleading and politically motivated.
‎
‎Omisore, in a reaction to a purported suit marked FHC/OS/CS/261/2025 – Senator Iyiola Omisore v. APC & ANR, said the document being circulated contains glaring inconsistencies, including a questionable date, which raises serious doubts about its authenticity.
‎
‎He noted that the APC has not conducted its gubernatorial screening or primary election, questioning how he could have approached the court on the matter, and describing the claim as illogical and baseless.
‎
‎According to him, at best, the mere listing of the matter, which has neither been pursued nor heard, amounts to an abandoned process to be determined by the court.
‎
‎Omisore further alleged that the narrative appears to be the imagination of the ruling Accord Party and the administration of Ademola Adeleke, aimed at creating unnecessary political tension and confusion within the opposition.
‎
‎He therefore urged party members, supporters and the general public to disregard the purported suit, stressing that he has not instituted any court action against the APC regarding the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
‎
‎Omisore also called on those behind the circulation of the document to desist from spreading falsehoods and political propaganda, warning that such actions are capable of misleading the public and heating up the political atmosphere in Osun State.
