The Osun State Government has reaffirmed its confidence in Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, and Chairman of the Osun State University Governing Council, Prof. Wale Oladipo, dismissing reports linking them to anti-party activities.
In a statement on Wednesday, Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, described the recent event in Ife Federal Constituency as a family dispute being handled by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The government stressed that Adewusi, Oladipo, and other leaders mentioned remain loyal and committed stakeholders who could not be involved in any anti-party acts.
Alimi affirmed that the Deputy Governor remains a trusted and dependable party man, noting that the controversy has not affected his office or standing within the PDP.
He further stated that government equally reposes confidence in Oladipo, who also serves as a member of the PDP Board of Trustees from Osun State, alongside his chairmanship of the state university’s governing council.
According to the statement, the positions of both Adewusi and Oladipo remain intact, with their integrity and commitment to the present administration not in doubt.
The government emphasized that both leaders maintain a cordial working relationship with Governor Ademola Adeleke and continue to play active roles in advancing the PDP-led administration in the state.
It also appealed to party leaders in Ife Federal Constituency to sheath their swords, allow internal mechanisms to address grievances, and embrace calm, restraint, and dialogue in resolving the impasse.
