The Osun State Government has vowed to ensure that justice is served to those responsible for the mayhem that erupted in Esa-Oke town in Obokun Local Government Area of the state.
The state government made this promise in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi.
Alimi, who described the incident as “quite unfortunate,” said security operatives have been directed to investigate the matter, identify those responsible, and bring them to justice.
The statement reads:
“The disruption in Esa-Oke is quite unfortunate. We received the news with great shock. However, security agencies have been deployed to the area, and peace has now been restored.”
“Security operatives have been directed to investigate the situation, identify those responsible, and ensure that they face the full wrath of the law.”
“The governor has urged all parties involved to remain calm while we thoroughly investigate the root cause of the incident. We sympathize with all the victims affected and assure them that justice will be served.”
