The Osun State Government has introduced a unified ticketing system for commercial motorcycle and tricycle operators to boost revenue and curb extortion.

Under the new system, motorcycle riders will pay N100 daily, while tricycle operators will pay N200.

The initiative was announced after a meeting between the state government and the leadership of commercial motorcycle operators, moderated by the Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Sesan Oyedele.

The Commissioner stressed that the government would no longer tolerate extortion or revenue leakages and assured operators of fair treatment.

He added that the new ticketing system would end multiple levies, enhance transparency, and improve the state’s internally generated revenue.

Oyedele also reaffirmed the Adeleke administration’s commitment to protecting commercial operators from exploitation.

Chairman of the Okada Riders Association, Comrade Sikiru Ayobami, praised the move and pledged to maintain peace, unity, and fairness within the association.

He assured that the leadership would not show favoritism and would remain just to all members.
