Overland Airways: We’re strengthening regional air connectivity — Keyamo

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, alongside the Executive Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mohammed Umar Bago, on Tuesday, April 23, 2025, attended the inaugural flight ceremony of Overland Airways into the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna.
The event marked the commencement of scheduled commercial flights to the newly upgraded airport, aimed at improving regional air connectivity and boosting economic development in Niger State.
Also present at the ceremony were several dignitaries, including the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris; Minister of State for Agriculture, Senator Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi; and representatives of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), led by Dr. Luqman Olatunbosun Emiola, Director of Human Resources and Administration, and Engr. Jensen Asaba, Director of Corporate Services.
As part of the day’s activities, Minister Keyamo led a joint inspection tour of the airport facilities with the dignitaries. He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to expanding aviation infrastructure and strengthening regional connectivity across Nigeria.
Keyamo emphasized the strategic importance of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport to the North-Central region and reiterated the Ministry’s focus on making aviation a key driver of national development.
