Osun PDP: We Must Intervene For Peace To Reign, Says Former, Present Lawmakers

As the crisis in the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deepens, all the past and serving National Assembly members of the party are ready to wade in.
The lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke who disclosed this to newsmen in Osogbo said that all PDP federal lawmakers in the 4th-9th Assemblies would meet in Osogbo soon to review the way forward for the party.
Oke said that the lawmakers considered it very imperative to intervene, discuss and review the situation of things within the party, especially the governorship candidate for the party in the July election.
Those expected at the meeting include Hons Bamidele Salam, Bimbo Ajilesoro, John Fasogbon, Gbenga Onigbogi, Debo Ayinde and all old and present lawmakers of the party in the South West.
He said: “We consider it imperative to come together and do a critical review of the situation of things in the party, especially on the gubernatorial election slated for July this year. We can’t open our eyes and be watching the situation going on like this within the party.
“We must intervene for peace to reign in the party, so that we can record victory without any rancour in the party.”
