Osun police investigate mysterious death of lady in boyfriend’s house

The Osun State Police Command has commenced investigations into the death of a young woman, Omole Bidemi, who died under unclear circumstances at her boyfriend’s residence in Esa Oke, Obokun Local Government Area of the state.

Bidemi was said to have left her home around 9:00 p.m. on Friday for a vigil, a routine she usually observed weekly. However, sources revealed that she diverted to her boyfriend’s house in the Oke Esa area of the town.

Reports indicated that less than 20 minutes after arriving, she developed sudden complications, allegedly foaming from the mouth.

The incident drew a large crowd to the scene, making it difficult for security operatives to gain access until they forced their way through.

Bidemi was later rushed to a nearby hospital but was confirmed dead before arrival.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Osun State Command, Abiodun Ojelabi, said the deceased’s boyfriend, identified as Yinka, has been taken into custody.

“From what the boyfriend told us, the deceased became sick after arriving at his house. We were also informed that she was rushed to a hospital but died on the way,” Ojelabi stated.

He added that an autopsy would be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death, assuring that the police will carry out a thorough investigation into the matter.
