No fewer than 4,000 residents, including youths, artisans, and other key stakeholders, are expected to participate in the forthcoming Greater Lagos Summit 5.0, aimed at promoting inclusive and people-driven governance in Lagos State.
President of the Greater Lagos Initiative (GLI) and Convener of the summit, Prince Adeniyi Olutimehin, announced this during a press briefing held at Alausa, Ikeja on Friday.
Olutimehin said the summit, themed “People, Power, and Progress: Building an Inclusive Future Through Patriotism, Egalitarianism, Innovations, and People-Centric Development in Lagos State,” will provide a platform for visionary dialogue and strategic engagement toward shaping a just and prosperous Lagos.
The October event will bring together participants from ministries, departments and agencies of government, traditional and religious institutions, civil society organizations, youth-led movements, student unions, social entrepreneurs, and representatives of underserved communities.
Also expected are market leaders, artisans, academics, policy researchers, creatives, influencers, and persons with disabilities—all contributing to a broad-based conversation on inclusive governance.
“The Summit is more than an event,” Olutimehin noted. “It is a movement and a recalibration of our collective future anchored on justice, equity, and opportunity for all.”
He emphasized that the Greater Lagos Summit continues to evolve as a platform for citizen engagement, co-creation, and building a sustainable and inclusive development model for Lagos State.
