Oyebamiji supports family of Osun rainstorm victim with scholarships

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), has awarded full educational scholarships up to university level to the four children of a woman who died in last week’s rainstorm in Osogbo.
Similarly, Oyebamiji ordered the immediate opening of a special bank account for the children, through which he would send money and other support regularly to finance their education from primary school to university level.
The APC candidate, who made the announcement during a condolence visit to the family of the late Jemilat Ganiyu, expressed grief over the circumstances that led to her death, noting that death remains inevitable for every mortal.
The children to benefit from the scholarship are Tijani Faruk (currently in JSS 2), Tijani Mariam (SS 2), Tijani Fatimah (SS 3) and Tijani Haliah (primary 6 pupil).
He condoled the family, particularly the parents of the deceased, and prayed that Almighty Allah grants them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The family expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, offering prayers for Oyebamiji and asking God to grant him victory in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Oyebamiji also visited a woman and her daughter who sustained injuries during the rainstorm and are receiving treatment at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo. He prayed for their quick recovery and made donations to support patients during his visit.
He further directed his aides to take the details of a patient in critical condition whose parents approached him for assistance.
