Oyebanji appoints Omojola as new BOUESTI Vice Chancellor

The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the appointment of Professor Andrew Babatunde Omojola as the new Vice Chancellor of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Olayinka Oyebode, Special Adviser on Media to the Governor.
Omojola, a professor of animal science with expertise in animal products, processing and food safety, was until his appointment the dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Ibadan.
“He succeeds Prof. Olufemi Victor Adeoluwa, whose tenure as Vice Chancellor will end on January 6, 2026.
“Born on August 14, 1962, in Usi Ekiti, Prof. Omojola attended Notre Dame College before earning his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in animal science from the University of Ibadan.
“He began his lecturing career at the University of Ibadan in 1997 and rose to the rank of professor in 2011, serving in several academic and administrative positions both locally and internationally.
Governor Oyebanji congratulated the new Vice Chancellor and urged him to deploy his experience to further strengthen BOUESTI, while also appreciating the outgoing VC, Prof Adeoluwa, for his service to the institution.
