Oyebanji presents first budget to Ekiti State House of Assembly

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji on Thursday presented his first budget to the state House Assembly that will help his administration to consolidate on the achievements of the immediate past administration in the state.
Christened “Budget of Strong Beginning’ Oyebanji noted that the proposal was a product of his interactions with the people of the state across the three senatorial districts.
The governor stated that the 2023 budget will deepen internally generated revenue and focus on actualisation of the six pillars of his development action plan.
“I presented the 2023 budget estimate to the Ekiti State House of Assembly. The budget, christened “Budget of Strong Begining” aims at building on the foundation already laid for the development of the State by the immediate past administration.
“The budget is a product of the citizens engagement programme I had with stakeholders from towns and villages across the three senatorial districts of the State. One major focus of the budget is the need to increase our internally generated revenue and reduce our dependence on federal allocation.
“The budget is hinged on the six pillars of the administration namely: Youth Development and Job Creation, Human Capital Development, Agricultural and Rural Development, Infrastructure and Industrialization, Arts, Culture and Tourism, and Governance.
“Our plan is to make Ekiti State the destination of choice for business and leisure. Together we shall keep Ekiti working,” Oyebanji said.
