Oyedepo prays for Ogun APC governorship candidate Yayi
The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has prayed for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
Oyedepo offered prayers for Adeola and his wife on Friday during the senator’s visit to the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State. The visit comes as the APC candidate continues engagements with key stakeholders ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Adeola’s visit to the church is part of his ongoing consultations with influential individuals and groups as he prepares for the poll, scheduled for February 6, 2027, according to the information provided by his campaign.
Adeola currently represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly and chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriations, which plays a key role in overseeing the federal budget process. He previously represented Lagos West Senatorial District in the Senate from 2015 to 2023.
Before joining the Senate, Adeola represented Alimosho Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly from 2003 to 2011 and served in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015, where he chaired the House Committee on Public Accounts.
A chartered accountant by profession, Adeola began his political career in Lagos State and later rose to prominence through his work in legislative oversight and public finance. As the APC’s candidate for the 2027 Ogun governorship election, he is seeking to consolidate support across the state through consultations with religious, traditional and political stakeholders.
