Oyo Accord guber aspirant Oriyomi Hamzat picks nomination form

Ibadan-based broadcaster and governorship aspirant under the Accord Party, Oriyomi Hamzat, has picked the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.

Hamzat obtained the forms on Monday at the party secretariat in Yemetu, Ibadan North LGA, where he addressed supporters after completing the process.

He said the move marked a transition from intention to active political engagement, adding that preparations for his governorship ambition had begun in earnest.

According to him, the exercise signals the start of structured mobilisation across the state as he intensifies consultations and grassroots engagement.

Hamzat, who declared his governorship ambition earlier in January 2026, said his decision to contest was influenced by personal conviction and consultations with advisers.

He also noted that his campaign team had already begun early mobilisation efforts, including logistical support for supporters who attended the event.

The broadcaster, known for his influence through Agidigbo FM and social commentary, was accompanied by supporters at the party secretariat, where he was received by party officials and members.
