By Adejayan Gbenga –

The Oyo State Government has announced plans to carry out a statewide audit of public workers under the Centrally Deployed Cadres (CDC), in line with a Federal Government directive aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in the public service.

The audit exercise is scheduled to take place from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 25, 2025, across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.

Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Professor Salihu Adelabu, made the disclosure in a statement issued on Saturday.

He stated that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation to verify and update personnel records through the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).

According to Adelabu, the exercise is expected to improve documentation, enhance accurate data management, and support the development of a centralized personnel database for CDC officers.

He emphasized that the audit is a strategic move to strengthen service delivery and institutional accountability within the public sector.

The commissioner urged all affected MDAs to provide full cooperation to the audit team to ensure a smooth, transparent, and successful verification process.

He also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to building a modern, efficient, and data-driven civil service in line with national standards.
