PDP names 13 sub- committees ahead November elective convention in Ibadan

The National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the constitution of 13 sub-committees ahead of the party’s elective convention scheduled for 15 November in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The sub-committees include: Accommodation; Constitutional Amendment Technical Committee; Accreditation; Electoral; Contact/Mobilisation; Medical; Welfare and Entertainment; Transportation; Monitoring/Evaluation; Publicity; Protocol; Security; and Venue.

According to a list posted on the party’s official Facebook page on Monday, the Chairman of the NCOC and Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, will head the Electoral Sub-Committee, while Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, chairs the Transportation Sub-Committee.

Governors Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara) and Douye Diri (Bayelsa) will chair the Sub-Committees on Accommodation, Accreditation, and Contact/Mobilisation, respectively. Plateau State Governor, Caleb Muftwang, heads the Protocol Sub-Committee, while Taraba State Governor, Kefas Agbu, chairs the Security Sub-Committee.

Bauchi State Governor and Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Senator Bala Mohammed, chairs the Publicity Sub-Committee. Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom, head the Medical and Constitutional Amendment Technical Sub-Committees, respectively.

Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, chairs the Welfare and Entertainment Sub-Committee, while Oyo State Deputy Governor, Adebayo Lawal, heads the Venue Sub-Committee. The Director-General of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, will oversee the Monitoring and Evaluation Sub-Committee.

In total, more than 1,500 party members will serve across the various sub-committees.
