PDP’s Oborevwori defeats Omo-Agege to win Delta governorship election

Governor Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State Sheriff Oborevwori has been declared winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
Oborevwori defeated his closest challenger Deputy Senate President and Candidate of the All Progressives Congress Ovie Omo-Agege to win the election.
In the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer for the state, Georgewill Owunari, the PDP candidate polled 360,234 votes while Omo-Agege had 240,229 votes.
A total of 3,221,697 voters were registered in the state, while the number of accredited voters was put at 710,829 with 671,737 valid votes.
The rejected votes were 15, 384 while the total votes cast were said to be 687,121.
