PHOTO NEWS: Ayo Adebanjo laid to rest in Isanya Ogbo

The remains of Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, were laid to rest on Saturday at his country home in his ancestral town, Isanya Ogbo.
The funeral ceremony was attended by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and the governors of Lagos, Oyo, and Ogun States—Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Seyi Makinde, and Dapo Abiodun, respectively.

Other dignitaries included former governors, senior government officials, elder statesmen, politicians, and many chieftains of Afenifere.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, who shared photos from the event on his social media pages, wrote:


“Today, I attended the funeral service of the late Chief Samuel Ayodele Adebanjo at St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Isanya Ogbo, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

“We honoured and paid our respects to a man who lived a life of purpose, integrity, and service, and whose legacy will continue to inspire many of us.”
