PHOTO NEWS: Betta Edu gets University of Calabar award

Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Betta Edu stepped out last weekend at the 50th anniversary of University of Calabar, her Alma mater.

Edu has been out of social radar since she was suspended from office by President Bola Tinubu in January 2024 following allegations of financial misconduct.

Edu was inducted to the university’s hall of fame alongside Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives Kalu Uche and other prominent former students.

Betta Edu took to social media to share the joy of her honour and wrote:

“UNICAL @ 50: Induction into the University of Calabar Hall of fame. I was Specifically awarded for outstanding dedicated service to humanity in Nigeria and beyond; making UNICAL Proud.

“Thank you University of Calabar! Excellence redefined!”
