PHOTO NEWS: Cecilia Ibru marks 79th birthday with two books
Former Managing Director and Chief Executive of the defunct Oceanic Bank and one of the banking czars in her heydays, Mrs. Cecilia Ibru marked her 79th birthday on Sunday, March 23 at the Muson Centre in Lagos with the launch of two books.
The books are her autobiography ‘Cecilia’ and ‘Oceanic Odyssey’ a book on her journey as the Chief Executive of the bank which was taken over by the Central Bank in 2010 alongside Intercontinental Bank, AfriBank, BankPHB among others over financial mismanagement, poor corporate governance and insiders abuses associated with the bank chiefs and their directors.
The event was attended by many former top officials of Oceanic Bank and other players in the financial and business circle.
