PHOTO NEWS: British parliamentarians visit JK Randle Centre for Yoruba culture in Lagos

As part of their final engagements in Nigeria, some members of the British Parliament were on an exclusive tour of the J. Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History recently.
The tour was hosted by the Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, who was joined by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende.


Other notable guests included the representative of the Deputy High Commissioner, Wale Adebajo, and the CEO of Ever Hale Africa, Mr. Johnson Adumike, among others.

The visit provided the delegation with an immersive experience of Yoruba traditions, beliefs, and origins, offering a deeper appreciation of this rich cultural heritage. Through interactive exhibits and historical narratives, the tour highlighted Lagos as a custodian of Nigeria’s diverse cultural identity.


This engagement underscores Lagos State’s commitment to showcasing its cultural heritage to the world while fostering international collaborations in the tourism and creative sectors.
