Buhari reaffirms loyalty to APC, pledges support for party growth
Former President Muhammadu Buhari has reaffirmed his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that he remains a loyal member and will continue to support the party.
In a statement released on Thursday by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari emphasized that he has always identified as an APC member and will work to strengthen and promote the party.
“I am an APC member, and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularize the party by all means,” he stated.
The former president expressed deep gratitude for the party’s support before and during his tenure, describing his time in office as the highest honor given to him.
He dismissed any speculation about distancing himself from the APC, stating that he would never turn his back on the party that gave him the platform to serve as Nigeria’s leader for two terms.
Buhari also praised the founding fathers of the APC for their efforts in building a strong party committed to protecting the constitution and strengthening democracy.
He urged party members to remain steadfast in upholding the values that define the APC, stressing the importance of unity and commitment to democratic governance.
