PHOTO NEWS: Ruto confers Kenya’s highest national honour on AfDB President, Akinwumi Adesina

President Williams Ruto of Kenya has conferred his country’s highest national honour of Africa Development Bank President, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina in Nairobi.
The event took place in the presence of the wife of the AfDB President and senior officials of the Kenyan government.

AfDB Director of Communications, Dr. Victor Oladokun shared the images on his social media platforms and wrote:

“Today, His Excellency President Dr #WilliamRuto conferred the country’s highest national honor – the Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart (#CGH) – on Dr. AkinwumiAdesina, President of the AfricanDevelopmentBankGroup.

“Less than 10 recipients have been conferred with Kenya’s highest national award since Independence in 1963.

“At an impressive State House event, President Ruto acknowledged Dr Adesina’s decades-old work in and on behalf of Kenya during an illustrious career that includes the #RockefellerFoundation, the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (#AGRA), and the African Development Bank.”
