PHOTO NEWS: Shettima takes time to read, reflect during leave

Vice President Kashim Shettima is spending part of his two-week leave reading and reflecting, his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, has said.

Nkwocha shared photos of Shettima reading in a post on Monday via his X account, describing the break as a period for study, reflection and learning.

According to him, the Vice President uses his leave to step away from the demands of office and create time to examine ideas and deepen his knowledge.

“Leadership is sustained by the willingness to keep learning,” Nkwocha wrote.

He said the period would help Shettima return to his official duties with greater clarity and renewed knowledge for his service to Nigeria.

Shettima began his two-week leave on August 3. According to the Presidency, President Bola Tinubu approved the leave as part of the Vice President’s annual vacation, with Shettima expected to resume official duties after the break. During his absence, the President continues to oversee the affairs of the government.
