PHOTO NEWS: Unforgettable night of runway jazz in Lagos

Last weekend witnessed a grand gathering of jazz music enthusiasts in Lagos during Runway Jazz ’25. The event brought together jazz lovers and artistes for a convivial night of fun and entertainment.
Hannatu Musawa, Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, who was also in attendance, shared her thoughts about the evening on her social media page:

“What an unforgettable evening at Runway Jazz ’25 over the weekend @runwayjazzofficial_ – Timeless Return, celebrating music, heritage, and homecoming here in Lagos.
Special appreciation to Gbenga Oyebode, a proud Nigerian voice on the board of Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Ambassador Afolabi Oke, the convener of Runway Jazz, for their vision in connecting global artistry back to its African roots. Big thanks to the organizers, the Lagos State Government, performers, and all partners for keeping our creative culture alive.

I especially enjoyed watching Jerry Omole @jerryomole and the young talents from @saxophonehub — truly inspiring to see the next generation carry the sound.”
