The United States Advisory Council for African Diaspora Engagement, led by Kevin Young, the Director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, visited Lagos as its first port of call in Africa.

While in Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu conducted a tour for Young and his delegation at the JK Randle Centre for Yoruba History and Culture in Onikan.

The visit marked the beginning of numerous collaborative initiatives aimed at improving the relationship between both regions, building partnerships, and creating a mutually beneficial experience.

More importantly, it will boost development in the creative arts, the entertainment industry, and various aspects of the creative space, creating socio-economic benefits for Africans and the African diaspora.
