The incident occurred on June 15, 2025, when three armed men reportedly forced the couple into their home at gunpoint. They carted away gold jewelry worth about ₦7.5 million, two iPhones, and other valuables.
The suspects also transferred ₦4.5 million from the victims’ bank account to one belonging to a female accomplice before fleeing on a motorbike.
Following investigations, detectives arrested Omole Ridwan (35), identified as the gang leader, and Adegbile Adewumi (45), whose account was used for the transfer.
Recovered items include an AK-47 rifle with an empty magazine, a double-barrel pistol, a locally made firearm, an axe, and two cutlasses.
