Political allies purchase APC Senate form for Oyetola’s son

Friends and political allies of Femi Oyetola, son of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, have purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination and expression of interest forms to draft him into the Osun Central senatorial race.

The forms were presented on Sunday in Osogbo by a former Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs and Social Mobilisation, Kehinde Ayantunji, on behalf of a committee of friends, to stakeholders of the Osun APC Youth Wing.

According to Ayantunji, the group raised N20 million to secure the forms, expressing confidence in Oyetola’s leadership potential and capacity to represent the district effectively.

He explained that the initiative was aimed at encouraging the young politician to formally join the race and build on what he described as a decade-long record of youth empowerment and political inclusion.

The former SSA said the group believes Oyetola can replicate his impact on a larger scale if elected to represent Osun Central in the Senate.

Reacting, the Osun APC Youth Leader, Goke Akinwomimo, commended the move, describing it as a boost for youth participation within the party.

Akinwomimo urged more young people in the party to seek elective offices and called on party leaders to prioritise youth inclusion in future elections.

Meanwhile, no fewer than 120 APC youth leaders drawn from local governments and wards across the 10 councils in Osun Central Senatorial District were said to have endorsed the move and supported the submission of the forms to the party’s national secretariat.
