President Bola Tinubu has approved N32.7 billion for the implementation of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) in 2025, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to alleviating poverty and empowering vulnerable Nigerians.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Nentawe Yilwatda, stated that reforms to the NSIP are a critical component of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu’s administration.

The announcement was shared by Olusegun Dada, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, via a post on X on Saturday.

According to the post, the minister highlighted that President Tinubu has approved the procurement of over 100,000 items to empower youth benefiting from the N-Power programme across the country.

“The reform seeks to enhance the programme’s impact by connecting youth to the market and private sector, ensuring that training translates into viable job opportunities. To support this effort, over 100,000 items have already been procured to empower youth nationwide, enabling them to develop and sustain small businesses,” the statement read.

“In addition, the programme will provide Nigerians with access to cooperative clusters offering low-interest credits ranging from N300,000 to N400,000. This initiative aims to improve the livelihoods of women and youth, foster entrepreneurship, and reduce poverty across the country.”
